Pathways did not begin with a building. It began with a handful of families, one borrowed room, and a conviction that education and faith belong in the same conversation.
One Room, A Few Students
In the beginning there were more folding chairs than students. Parents took turns teaching. Supplies came out of people’s own closets. Nobody had a five year plan. What they had was a shared sense that this was worth doing.
Word spread the way it does in a community like Boise. One family told another. A few more students came. The room got crowded, and then it got too small.
What Grew Out Of It
Today Pathways serves students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, with real classrooms, real labs, and teachers who chose to be here. But the thing that made it work in that first room is the thing we protect hardest now. We know our students. We know their families. We are not trying to become a large school.
Why It Still Matters
Every school has a story about how it started. Ours is a reminder that faithfulness in a small space tends to grow into something you could not have planned. We are grateful for the families who sat in those folding chairs, and for the ones filling our classrooms now.
